JACKSON: A Requiem Latin Mass for Frances Mary Macek, 92, of rural Jackson, Minnesota will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, (410 Broadway Avenue) in Lakefield, Minnesota with burial in Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery in Jackson, Minnesota.

Frances was called to her eternal rest on Friday afternoon, September 26, 2025 at her home in rural Jackson, Minnesota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the Church. There will be a Rosary at 12:00 noon at the church.

Frances Mary Macek was born on February 21, 1933 to Joseph and Rose (Matuska) Macek in Jackson, Minnesota. She grew up on the family farm in rural Jackson with her family. Frances attended school in Jackson later graduating with the class of 1951. She was a housekeeper for various families and Priests. Frances enjoyed working on the family farm and in her garden. She enjoyed cooking and was a poet.

She is survived by her sister, Theresa Macek of rural Jackson, Minnesota; several other relatives and friends.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose Macek, brother, Joseph “Little Joe” Macek and other relatives.
