Warmer Weather On The Way Next Week Amidst Winter Weather Awareness Week
(Undated)- Veteran's Day weekend has arrived, and along with honoring veterans, the weekend will usher in Minnesota Winter Weather Awareness Week from the 13th through the 17th. The National Weather Service will be sharing more preparedness information than usual, so check out weather.gov. In the midst of that announcement, look forward to some slightly warmer temperatures next week, with mid to low 60s in the mix and sunny days, except for Veteran's Day which has a slight 20 percent chance of rain.
Also worth looking at is the US Drought Monitor for Minnesota. Previous maps showed a relaxing of threatening drought conditions, and this one is in line with those predictions. Jackson, Martin, and Cottonwood Counties are now fully out of drought, with Nobles and Murray the only close counties to have any sort of drought. Even for those two counties, levels don't reach 50 percent abnormally dry conditions.
