UPDATE: Fire at Full Tilt Performance
(Jackson) The Jackson Fire Department was called to Full Tilt Performance on Wednesday morning. Jackson Fire Chief Dave Bond explains what they found once they were on scene.
"When our crews arrived they had flames coming out of the side where the exhaust fan would be, and they had some flames coming out of the soffit of the building as well. And then we had some smoke, you know, coming out. It wasn't heavy smoke at that time and they were able to go inside into the paint booth area and knocked the fire down fairly quickly and we were able to spray some water up on the outside of the building and knock that fire down in the soffit fairly quickly."
Bond says the fire damage is minimal but water damage is extensive throughout the building.
They had a sprinkler system that with the heat it tripped the sprinkler system and so, yeah, there was quite a bit of water that was sprayed in there until we were able to get that shut down. But, you know, it definitely saved the building and most of the contents in there."
No injuries were reported as everyone got out of the building immediately. Bond says the fire is still under investigation. Full Tilt Performance manufactures performance parts for the trucking industry and is located just north of I-90 in Jackson.
