UCAP Starts Their Food Shelves March Campaign
Wed 3-8-2023

(Heron Lake)- United Community Action Partnership's Food Shelves March Campaign will see their food shelves gear up to make sure Minnesota residents have access to healthy food and no one struggles with food insecurity.
In this program, all donations and food will be staying local. UCAP invites those with limited resources to visit the food shelf locations as needed, with store hours usually being a few days a week, though their locations are willing to accommodate barriers around the set times when needed.
The Heron Lake Okabena food shelf at the Catholic School in Heron Lake is open on the second Tuesday of the month from noon to 2 pm and the third Tuesday of the month 4-6 pm, though again those hours can change if needed.
To contact UCAP about that food shelf, whether it be questions about food drives, donating, volunteering, or food need, give a call to Lori at 507-537-1416 with extension 1338.
