Two Suspects Charged With 1st Degree Murder In Death Of Estherville Man
The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says two suspects have been arrested and charged in the death of 20-year-old David McDowell of Estherville who’s body was found this past Saturday along a road northeast of Estherville.
Authorities say 19-year-old Connor Uhde of Estherville and 18-year-old CeJay Van Der Wilt of Rockwell City were arrested today (Wed.). Each was charged murder in the 1st degree.
Sheriff Mike Martens says the arrests were made after two search warrants were simultaneously executed in Estherville and Rockwell City at 5:45am this (Wed.) morning. Special tactical teams were used in carrying out the searches, which resulted in authorities finding additional evidence.
Uhde is being held in the Emmet county jail without bond; Van Der Wilt is being held in the Buena Vista county jail without bond.
