(Mankato Township)- Two Spirit Lake residents were involved in a crash in Blue Earth County on Saturday, reported by the Minnesota State Patrol. The crash occurred at 2:29 pm on Saturday when a 2005 Buick Terraza, driven by Blaine Strampe, age 77 of Spirit Lake was eastbound on Highway 14 in Mankato Township.

A 2008 Pontiac Torrent, driven by Chalese Rohne, age 20 of Eagle Lake, was also eastbound on Highway 14, and the two vehicles collided in the intersection of Highway 14 and County Road 56. A passenger in the Buick, Sheryl Sue Strampe, age 77 of Spirit Lake, received non-life threatening injuries but was not taken to a healthcare facility, whereas Rohne received non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Mayo Clinic Mankato.

The Eagle Lake Fire Department, Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office and Mayo Ambulance all assisted at the scene.
