Time to Renew Pesticide Applicator License?
Thu 1-9-2025
Liz Stahl who is an Extension educator in Crops with University of Minnesota Extension says IF you reside in MN and your private pesticide applicator certification expires on March 1st, you need to renew your certification. This needs to be done if you plan to use a restricted use pesticide on land or sites for the production of agricultural commodities. There are several options for recertification, but you must be at least 18 years old to recertify or obtain your initial certification.
Option 1: Attend a live in-person workshop.
Option 2: Attend a live, online Zoom workshop.
Option 3: Take the exam online.
Option 4: Take the mail-in written exam.
Successful completion of any of these options will renew your certification for 3 years. For more details and requirements on all the options, including payment and cancellation policies, go to: www.pat.umn.edu.
