Organization Offering Local Families Chance To Host Foreign Exchange Students

Fri 2-2-2024

(Undated)- Jackson County Central has recently seem foreign exchange students, hosted by local families. The kids recently visited a Jackson Kiwanis meeting to talk about their experiences at JCC, how that experience differs from their home countries, and about the things they like and dislike about their American experience.

Kids from all over the world look for a chance to be hosted by a family and experience a bit of time in an American school, and there are opportunities for local families to get involved in that process by hosting.

One group that can help get you started is EF Exchange Year, a group operated by EF Educational Foundation for Foreign Study, a non-profit corporation designated by the Department of State to operate the student exchange program. Check out efexchangeyear.org for more information about the program, and the local contact is Laura Olson.
