No Special Session Yet

Tue 5-24-2022

(St. Paul, MN)- There’s no timeline yet for a possible special legislative session at the State Capitol. Governor Tim Walz met with House and Senate leaders Monday and said he’s not going to call them back without a commitment to “get some of these things done and tie up these loose ends that shouldn’t be all that difficult.” House Republican Minority Leader Kurt Daudt said “it's a good idea for (lawmakers) to go home and sleep on this for seven months” and then “come back and do what’s right by Minnesotans.” Walz says it’s “baffling” that people would not want a special session to finish work on tax cuts and spending bills.
