New Developments In The Cases Of Two Suspects Charged In The Death Of A Lake Park Woman

Wed 11-10-2021

(Lake Park)- A change of plea hearing has been set for one of the suspects in the murder of a Lake Park woman last year. Justice Berntson in August pled not guilty in the death of Angel Bastman. A judge Friday set December 17th as the date to hear a plea change from Berntson.

Another defendant in the case, Allison Decker, has been accused by prosecutors of intimidating witnesses while she’s been in jail. A judge Monday issued an indefinite protective order against Decker, who was accused of texting witnesses in the case. Online court documents indicate her trial has now been pushed back to May 17th, 2022.

Berntson and Decker were both charged with 1st degree murder, 2nd degree theft and conspiracy to commit a non-forcible felony. Both remain in the Dickinson county jail.
