“Grouse, rabbit, squirrels will be opening. That will take care of it until we start to see a little bit further down the line and pheasant season will open in October, October 15th to be exact, and run through January 1st. The other season that will open this weekend too is archery deer.”

He says that many had a successful hunt in the teal season, and that dove season is also still open. Gruhlke also always wants to remind people that the DNR website is a great place to get planning for a hunt or to make sure you know what days seasons open and close. It can also be used for figuring out which parks and hunting areas are open at certain times of the year, or closed for maintenance reasons.
