MnDOT Celebrates Upgrades During 2024 Construction Season

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says it is proud of the work construction crews completed or advanced this season. MnDOT says nearly 240 road and bridge projects across the state will improve safe travel and multi-mobility options.
For example, crews will soon complete resurfacing approximately 50 miles of roadway, bridge replacements, bridge repairs, and drainage improvements on Highway 4 from Sherburn to St. James and St. James to Sleepy Eye. That is one of four projects within Southwest Minnesota which falls into MnDOT Districts 7 and 8.
That project is among 54 projects that were focused on improving safety at railroad crossings, repairing seawalls and docks along our marine freight system, updating runways and other infrastructure at local airports, and improving transit centers statewide
