The MN DNR is waiving vehicle permit fees to all 73 state parks and recreation areas on Monday Jan 20^th. The DNR waives vehicle fees on four different days throughout the year which include Jan 20^th, April 26^th, Saturday June 14^th and Friday Nov 28^th. The DNR is hoping to boost activity at State parks during the winter seasons as they say most activity happens during the summer months. Ann Pierce who is the director of DNR’s Parks and Trails Division says, “Minnesota state parks truly shine year-round, and winter is a special time to embrace the state’s natural beauty and recreational opportunities; so we’re hoping people will come out and join us on Jan. 20.” To find more information on the mndnr.gov/freeparkdays
