Minnesota sees spike in COVID-19 hospitalizations
The number of positive COVID-19 cases in Minnesota topped 17,000 with 665 new positive cases reported Tuesday. Jackson County held at 36, Cottonwood County is up 3 to 59, Nobles County increased 33 to 1,394 and Martin County increased 5 to 123.
17 new deaths reported this morning, bringing the state’s total to 748, of which 608 are among residents in long-term care or assisted living facilities.
Over 5,000 tests were reported, bringing the state’s total to over 161,000 tests completed. 545 Minnesotans are hospitalized from COVID-19, that’s up 57 from yesterday. Total in ICU increased held at 229.
