(Undated)- The Martin County West Music Department recently succeeded in their funding goals for their Donors Choose campaign, which is for the school's guitar skills class. Thanks to donations, just a bit less than $2,700 was donated by 25 donors which means that five brand new Taylor Big Baby acoustic guitars will be purchased for that class, which will help get more students involved in music.

Further generosity from the Martin County Area Foundation and the Fox Lake Conservation League means that they will also be able to purchase the other 10 guitars for the class, and that with all the donations tallied up so far, they will be able to supply a full class of instruments.

The school and music program is very grateful for the donations and promised in a Facebook post to keep everyone in the loop with the new class.
