Wed 11-15-2023

(Jackson)- The Jackson Water Treatment Plant's gravity filter is still currently offline as teams recoat the interior and replace the media. Due to the original subcontractor that was set to work on the filter not being able to complete the work, the filter has to be offline longer than originally anticipated.

The current date for the work to get done is December 4th, as long as everything runs smoothly. Details shared also state that the original subcontractor has faced financial challenges, and might be going out of business.

The city stated again that the water is still save to drink, except for infants, because of slightly elevated manganese levels. Call city hall with any questions.
