Jackson County Man Arrested On Firearms Charges

(Jackson, Mn.)- An Alpha, Minnesota man faces firearms charges for allegedly pointing a gun at another person. 75-year-old Jake Jones was charged in Jackson County with second degree assault with a firearm and intentionally pointing a gun.
According to a criminal complaint, Jones had been seen driving slow through an alley early this past Saturday and quickly left after being approached by a resident. A video was provided to authorities that allegedly shows Jones pointing a semi-automatic pistol at a person. Authorities say Jones was still in possession of the pistol when they arrived at his home later.
He has since been released from jail after making an initial court appearance and posting bond.
