Jackson Community Foundation Accepting Grant Applications

Fri 3-7-2025

The Jackson Community Foundation is accepting grant applications from area nonprofit organizations, government units, and public agencies until April 11. Grants, typically ranging from $300 to $1,000, support projects that provide long-term benefits to the Jackson area.

Funding comes from the foundation’s general endowment and unrestricted funds, sustained by community donations. Last year, $6,000 was distributed among five organizations, supporting projects like library resources, youth reading programs, school equipment, festival safety, and public art initiatives. This year, $7,000 is available for grants.

Eligible organizations can find the application link on Facebook (@jacksoncommunityfoundation) or request it via jacksoncommunityfoundation@gmail.com. Grantees will be notified by the end of April, with awards presented in May. The foundation has been awarding grants since 2009. Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) organization, a unit of government or a public agency.
