Jackson Assessment Shows Huge Growth

(Jackson)- Jackson recently had an assessment done to see the rough value of the county, which has exploded in recent times. Compared to the assessment last year, Jackson is worth over 21% more than it was in past years. Jackson County Assessor Karla Ambrose says prices are crazy.

New assessed market value is just over $3.88 billion, which is an increase of roughly $683 million. Of sales in the last year, Jackson saw over 60 residential sales, Lakefield at 25, Heron Lake at 14, Okabena at seven, Alpha and Wilder were at two. The number of sales is enormous, says Ambrose.
