ILCC Men’s Quartet Again Offering Singing Valentines
Tue 2-4-2025

(Estherville)– Looking for something different to do for that special someone in your life on Valentine’s day? The Iowa Lakes Community College Men’s Quartet can help as they will be offering singing valentines to area residents and businesses. Vocal Music Professor Brett Fuelberth says it’s an event everyone involved looks forward to…
“It is one of the events that we look forward to every year, the student do especially, but we’ve probably done it for like 20 years now, I think. We get to take our Iowa Lakes men’s group all decked out in tuxes out into the community and deliver singing valentines. We’re often going to businesses and or restaurants. People around the area can call us up and get one hired to surprise someone and always makes a big impact. It’s just something kind of unique so you’re not doing the same thing every year for Valentine’s Day. People remember when they get the singing valentine.”
Fuelberth says the students really enjoy the day…
“They really enjoy it because they get a chance to make people smile and sometimes it’s touching for people, you know, bringing a few tears and just kind of spreading joy throughout the area. We always travel down to Spencer and the lakes area. We’ll be in Arnolds Park and Milford and Okoboji and Spirit Lake and also in Estherville, is kind of where we travel on the 14th delivering some singing. First of all, obviously, we sing a love song and then we also present a rose and take a picture so they can remember the experience.”
Each singing Valentine is just $30. Orders can be placed by contacting Fuelberth at 712-362-7963, via email at bfuelberth@iowalakes.edu, or at Ticketleap.
