(St. Paul, MN) -- Governor Tim Walz is extending the state's peacetime emergency for another 30 days through March 15th. He says it gives Minnesota flexibility in responding to the pandemic - including safely and effectively distributing the COVID vaccine. He notes that the federal government and 48 other states remain in a state of emergency.
Walz said he told Senate Republicans he'd welcome them replacing some of his executive orders with new laws on things like the mask mandate.
