Friend of the Auditorium Hosting John Mueller's Winter Dance Party

(Worthington) February 3, 1959 is known as the day the music died when American rock and roll musicians Buddy HollyRitchie Valens, and "The Big Bopper" J. P. Richardson were all killed in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa. Pilot Roger Peterson was also killed in the crash.[a] John Mueller’s Winter Dance Party commemorates Holly, Valens and the Big Bopper and is coming to Friends of the Auditorium in Worthington on Saturday February 1st. Mueller played Buddy Holly in the Broadway musical titled Buddy, the Buddy Holly story and says why he chose to go the route of recreating the Winter Dance Party Tour. Mueller cut 1 

The final show took place on February 3rd, 1959, at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, IA and Mueller says it’s an amazing experience every time they perform there. mueller cut 3 

John Mueller’s Winter Dance party is the only show endorsed by the Holly, Valens and Richardson estates. The show also has the stamp of approval from Buddy Holly’s widow Maria Helena Holly and Mueller says that means a lot. Mueller cut 2
