(Jackson)- A Jackson resident was injured last Friday in a crash in Christiana Township. The Minnesota State Patrol received the call at 6:57 am last Friday, when a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder, driven by James Rayburn Breland was driving southbound on Highway 71. Another vehicle, a semi, was also southbound. The semi struck a deer in the roadway, which was thrown into the Nissan.

Thanks to the crash, Breland sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Windom Hospital by ground ambulance. The Cottonwood County Sheriff's Office, Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Windom Police Department and the Windom Ambulance all assisted at the scene.
