(St. Paul, MN)- The panel that will decide on a new flag and seal for Minnesota is hoping to make some important decisions tomorrow. The State Emblems Redesign Commission will meet tomorrow afternoon with a goal of selecting five finalists for consideration. The meeting is scheduled to last four hours, though it could be extended for an additional four hours if needed. The commission received more than 26,000 designs for the new flag and seal and needs to have a final recommendation for both emblems ready by January 1st.
