Five County Administrator finalists named
The five finalists for the newly created Jackson County Administrator position were released this morning. The finalists are:
Andrea Aukrust currently serves as the City Administrator for the City of Hector, Minnesota, where she has been in the position for nearly three years. Prior to that, she served as Co-Owner/Manager of Davis Rental Properties in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, for 18 years. She has also been employed as the Coordinator of the Faribault, Martin, and Jackson Multi-Counties Adult Substance Abuse and Family Dependency Treatment Courts through a contracted grant position with Mayo Health Systems for over one year. Other positions she has held include a grant position in Rehabilitative Services for the Sioux Trails Mental Health Center in New Ulm, Minnesota, for nearly two and a half years, and as the City Administrator/EDA Director for the City of Spicer, Minnesota, for one year. Ms. Aukrust holds bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Marketing and a master’s degree in Urban Planning.
Ryan Krosch most recently served as the County Administrator for Nicollet County, Minnesota, where he was employed for over eight years. Prior to that, he served as the County Administrator for Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, for nearly seven years. He has also served as the Community & Economic Development Director for the Upper Minnesota Valley Regional Development Commission for nearly six years, and as the Community Development Planner for the Mid-Minnesota Development Commission for nearly two years. Mr. Krosch holds a bachelor’s degree in Local and Urban Planning.
Steve Nasby currently serves as the City Administrator for the City of Windom, Minnesota, where he has been employed for 15 years. Prior to that, Mr. Nasby was employed by the City of Iowa City, Iowa, for 13 years in multiple positions including Associate Planner, Community Development Coordinator, and Community and Economic Development Coordinator. Mr. Nasby holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Public Administration.
Tom Nelson is currently employed as a Community and Business Development Specialist for Community and Economic Development Associates where he has been serving for three and a half years. He also currently serves in the Army National Guard where he has been employed for approximately six and a half years. He has also been employed as the Executive Director for the Minnesota American Legion Boys State for three years. Mr. Nelson holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communications.
Pat Oman most recently served as the Mille Lacs County Administrator where he served for six years. Prior to this, he was the City Administrator/Executive Director HRA for the City of Moose Lake, Minnesota, for two years, the Director of Economic Development/Executive Director County EDA/HRA for Carlton County, Minnesota, for eight years, the Economic Development Director/Community Development Director for the East Central Regional Development Commission for one year, and the Executive Director for the Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation in Wisconsin for two year. Mr. Oman holds bachelor’s degrees in History and Biology and master’s degrees in Manufacturing Systems and Business Administration.
Interviews with the finalists will be scheduled for later in April.
