Wed 3-27-2024
(JACKSON) — An ITC transmission line pole south of Windom caught fire around midnight Tuesday morning. About 530 Federated Rural Electric members served by the Wilder substation lost power at 11:49 a.m. Power was restored around 1:20 p.m. when Federated Rural Electric line crews rerouted power.
“Federated thanks members for their patience,” stated Kyle Korselman, Federated’s assistant operations manager. “Federated members signed up for outage text notifications received too many outage notifications. Federated contacted the vendor to investigate the problem.”
Federated is a Touchstone Energy cooperative serving more than 5,300 members in Jackson and Martin Counties.
