Triple-A’s expecting a record number of travelers this Thanksgiving week. Spokesman Brian Ohrtner says traffic could start to pick-up as early as Tuesday. 

“Some schools get out on Tuesday, some get out on Wednesday, so that’s going to alter your traffic flows in town and then some businesses even close potentially early on Wednesday.”

Ohrtner says there are some specific times during those days to be especially aware of…

“Rush hour traffic on those days before the holiday between 1:00 and 7:00 pm are probably your worse travel times. If you can get on the road in the morning it’s going to be to your advantage.”

If you’re hopping a flight Ohrtner says you’ll want to allow plenty of time to get through security
