(Estherville)– RAGBRAI organizers in Estherville, which is the 2nd overnight stop for this year’s event, have announced their headliner entertainment. Lexie Ruter, Chair of the Estherville RAGBRAI Committee and Chamber Director, made the big announcement earlier today (Tues.)…ruter cut 1 

“We are super excited to get to tell everybody that Estherville snagged the Pork Tornadoes. They’re going to be our headliner on Monday, July 21st. They’re going to play the evening concert in the big beer garden downtown in Estherville.”

Ruter says the concert will run from roughly 9:00 pm until 11:00 pm July 21st. Ruter says the concert will be free to RAGBRAI participants and the community with a number of food vendors also on hand…Ruter cut 2 

“So we’re going to have a really filled downtown. Our downtown is going to be kind of our central entertainment district for RAGBRAI so we’ll have food vendors, non-food vendors, the bands, other music, and so it will be just a big downtown party in Estherville.”

Ruter says they’re still in the process of lining up additional bands and entertainment. Ruter adds they met with RAGBRAI officials today (Tues.) as other components are starting to come together…ruter cut 4 

“We went over with the RAGBRAI team our main campground locations and things like that, so those are getting closer to being set in stone. And then we’re kind of working on the layout, but a lot of those bigger things are ready to roll. We’ll have a lot of information out by the end of March. We’re really planning on having a lot of volunteer forms, housing forms and things like that all ready before April.”
