Deer Hunt In Jackson City Limits Gains Final Approval

Wed 8-3-2022

(Jackson)- The Special Antlerless Deer Hunt within the city limits of Jackson has officially been approved, opening up a few more tags for hunters in the city limits as long as they have those special tags, and in most cases permission from landowners to hunt on designated land. Residents will need to buy resident bonus 430 antlerless deer tags, which are around $19 a piece.

Permission will still be needed by any hunters looking to hunt on city land, which you can get from city hall, as well as any personally owned land by citizens.

The hunt will run through the normal archery season for deer, September 17th to December 31st, and the hopes are that this can help thin out the large deer population in the city limits of Jackson.
