(Jackson) David Hansen of Jackson retired from the Federated Rural Electric board of directors yesterday (Monday Dec 30^th). Hansen served on the board for 24 years including 14 as President. Hansen saw many changes during his time at Federated REA. Just a few of those included the adding of 1700 former Alliant customers from five towns in 2015 and growing Federated Broadband which brought fiber to rural customers. Federated General Manager Scott Reimer, says Hansen was always willing to represent Federated, whether at a fair auction, presenting economic development checks or scholarship awards.” Hansen followed in his father’s footsteps as Arthur Hansen served on the Federated REA board from 1969 to 1985.
