(Blue Earth County)- A crash on Sunday in Blue Earth County sent one to the hospital. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to this crash at 8:29 pm on Sunday when a 2013 Volkswagen PTE, driven by a 17 year old juvenile, was traveling northbound on Highway 22. A 2006 Infinity G35, driven by Gabrielle Anne Petersen, age 28 of Worthington, was being driven southbound, also on Highway 22, when snow and ice covered roads caused the vehicles to collide head on.

The juvenile was taken to the Mankato Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and Petersen is not reported to have gotten medical attention. The Mapleton Police Department and Fire Department, and Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office all assisted at the scene.
