(Windom)- In a move reminiscent of events of last year in Jackson, Cottonwood County Attorney Nick Anderson's request for a raise of $10,000 for himself and $20,000 for the assistant county attorney was denied by the Cottonwood County Commissioners. Anderson did not himself show up to the meeting, however in a letter with the recommendation Anderson noted that if the request was not granted, he would begin providing services to the City of Windom and DVHHS instead of the county, where he would cancel his current contract.
That means that Cottonwood County likely will no longer have an attorney quite soon, due to the denied salary increase request.
