Commissioners approve County Administrator finalists
The search for the new Jackson County Administrator moved forward during Tuesday’s Jackson County Commissioners meeting. Gary Weiers of DDA Human Resources guided the Commissioners through the process of selecting the 5 finalists for the position. The identity of the finalists was not revealed during the process. A press release is expected sometime Wednesday morning naming the finalists.
Representatives from NextEra Energy Resources gave the Commissioners an update on the Three Waters Wind Project. The project continues to move forward. A regional office has been set up in Lakefield for staff to work out of. Representatives committed to maintaining communications with the Commissioners and landowners during the project.
In other action, the Commissioners approved creating seasonal park worker positions to allow those 16 and older to apply and for the department to fill the necessary positions, approved the purchase of two Dell servers and a Dell PowerVault storage array and approved a resolution proclaiming April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.
The meeting was held in the cafeteria room of the Government Resource Center. All Commissioners were present.
