The City of Sherburn's City Council announced there will be changes made at the Red Carpet as well as support for the Manager, Rachel Hanson.

Due to various reasons, including budgetary and best practices, the City has implemented changes at the Red Carpet. The changes have been directed by Council, Administration, and vendors they partner with for support.

After some analyzing of the storage space and budget, one of the changes included reduction of inventory and menu items. It doesn't mean that the staff at the Red Carpet cannot order your favorites, they may just not have them in stock in off-sale.

There were also concerns with the change in the Point-of-Sale system as well as a cash discount/card fee. Due to a recent law change, there will no longer be a "Credit Card Fee". There will be a "Cash Discount" added. The Point-of-Sale system was also bought out by another company, so updates will be required.

Timing was not ideal but all of it occurred at the same time.

There have also been rumors around the community of the Municipal Liquor Store closing January 1st, 2025. No one is sure how the rumors began but they are false.
