Tue 9-15-2020

(Estherville)-- Police in Estherville are investigating the thefts of some campaign signs and they're asking for the public's help in finding whoever's responsible.

Police say 16 Biden for President signs have been stolen from yards in recent days. They're valued at $20 each. Police Chief Brent Shatto says the theft of the signs is a criminal offense punishable by up to a year in jail and a substantial fine. He says the perpetrator could also be charged with trespassing.

Anyone with information into the thefts should contact the Estherville Police Department. A $100 reward is being offered for information about the suspects involved.
