(Heron Lake) The Heron Lake Fire Department was paged to a grass fire on Thursday that burned around 150 acres of DNR land. The fire was located approximately one mile west of Heron Lake by the railroad tracks. County road 9 between Heron Lake and Okabena was temporarily closed while the crews worked on putting out the fire. The Okabena fire department was called in to assist and crews were on the scene for about 5.5 hours.  The Lakefield fire department was paged out to a grass fire southwest of Lakefield on Saturday and then west of Lakefield on Sunday to a ditch fire. Crews only spent 20 minutes on scene on Saturday and 10 minutes on scene on Sunday.
