Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey will play in the Class A state tournament. 

The Wolverines outlasted Lester Prairie 57-55 in overtime on Thursday night. Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey improved to 27-3 on the season. It’s the first time since back-to-back years in 2012 and 2013 that the Wolverines will be in the state bracket. 

Mountain Lake High School won the state championship in 1939.
