Tom Schuller Going Into MFCA Hall of Fame
Thu 1-9-2025
Jackson County Central football head coach Tom Schuller is going to be in the Minnesota Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
FULL INTERVIEW:
Schuller most recently led the Huskies to their second state championship and first undefeated season during his 26th year in charge.
He says the honor took him by surprise.
Schuller took over as head coach in 1999 after being a JCC assistant for back-to-back state runner-up finishes. He has a career record of 223-58 for a win percentage of nearly 80%. This past season was the 11th time he coached JCC to double-digit wins.
Schuller says this award is not just for him.
His acceptance speech is a work in progress but he has until March 29th to have it ready for the 61st MFCA Hall of Fame banquet in Minneapolis.
Schuller says he and the Huskies will be looking to “run it back” to another state championship next year.
Schuller is joined in the Class of 2025 by fellow head coaches Andy Rostberg of Hutchinson, Clay Anderson of Kimball Area, Craig Anderson of Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, and Dave Louzek of Moose Lake/Willow River along with assistant coach Greg Clough of Minnetonka.
