NORTHFIELD - Martin County West had three runners compete in the state Class A cross country meet Saturday at St. Olaf College.

The Mavericks had two runners in the girls race.

Marissa Whitehead was 69th out of 175 runners in 20:17.8. It was her fifth time at the state meet. Also, Katie Hartke was 75th in 20:24.0.

In the boys race, Jake Lewis finished 39th of 175 runners with a time of 16:48.6.
