Tarantulas to host Truman in playoff opener

BLUE EARTH - The Jackson 18-under baseball team opens up the Senior League Playoffs at Wacker Field Thursday with a 6:30 p.m. game vs. Truman.
The Tarantulas are the No. 4 seed after going 3-3 during the regular season. Truman is seeded fifth, compiling a 2-4 mark.
Jackson won the regular-season meeting between the teams 6-5 on July 16.
Thursday's other first-round games have seventh-seeded Madelia at second-seeded Fairmont and sixth-seeded MCW at third-seeded Windom.
Top-seeded Blue Earth has a bye.
The tournament resumes Friday and continues through Sunday, with the remainder of the games in Blue Earth.
The Jackson-Truman winner plays Blue Earth at 8 p.m. Friday.
