Roman Voss is verbally committed to play college football at the University of Minnesota.
Voss made the social media announcement on Monday night. The four-star athlete chose the home-state Golden Gophers over the University of Alabama. Voss is the top-ranked Class of 2026 recruit within Minnesota and ranks among the elite prospects across the country at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds. This is the third straight year the top-ranked in-state recruit committed to play at UM.
A total of 14 programs made an offer to Voss since May 2024. That list also featured Iowa, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Kansas, Kansas State, Illinois, Cal, Miami (FL), UCLA, USC, Oklahoma, and Auburn.
Voss is going into his senior year at Jackson County Central High School. He plays quarterback, wide receiver, safety, and linebacker for the Huskies. Minnesota is recruiting him to play tight end at the college level.
