“Bulls & Barrels” invades the Horse Arena on Wednesday night at the 156th Jackson County Fair thanks to NextEra Energy. 

Dave Rice says he started promoting shows during the late 1990’s. 

“I’ve always been a big fan but when I was in the Marine Corps I actually got exposed to it over there. I started riding bulls when I was 18 years old and then rode professionally for several years after that before I transitioned to producing them and putting them on,” says Rice. 

Rice Rodeo Company is based in Princeton, MN and now helps bring the sport to audiences all over the world. He says contestants from far beyond Jackson are registered for this event.

Gates open at 6:30 with “Bulls & Barrels” getting started at 7:30 p.m.
