Mohr, Miller Lead Huskies in Big South Division Events

Rachel Mohr and Tavin Miller led the Jackson County Central golf teams in Big South Division events on Thursday. 

Mohr led the JCC girls at Minn-Iowa Golf Course in Elmore. She posted 52 on nine holes to finish eighth place and 14 strokes off the lead. 

Payton Coquyt shot 59 to tie for 21st place. Ramsey Johnson shot 61 to tie for 24th place. Taylor Schultz shot 69 to tie for 30th place. 

The JCC girls collected a team score of 241 behind Blue Earth Area, Fairmont, Redwood Valley, and Luverne. Pipestone Area and Windom Area were incomplete. 

Tavin Miller led the JCC boys at the Redwood Falls Golf Club. He shot 41 on nine holes to finish in a three-way tie for seventh place but only four strokes off the lead. Kyler Thier shot 45 for 17th place, Dylan Hilpipre shot 48 in a three-way tie for 27th place, Jessy Gentry shot 50 to tie for 30th place, Keagan Koster shot 56 for 39th place, and Spencer Pigman shot 64 to take 41st place. 

The JCC boys posted 184 as a team behind Windom Area, Blue Earth Area, Luverne, Pipestone Area, and Redwood Valley but ahead of Fairmont. 

The Huskies head to Fairmont Invitational events on Friday with the girls at Interlaken Golf Club and the boys at Rose Lake Golf Club.
