The Minnesota West Community and Technical College women’s basketball team will play in the semifinals of the NJCAA tournament today at 5:00. They defeated Monroe College Bronx 89 to 75 last night. The Lady Jays had three players in double figures. Tia Murray led the way with 24 while Madisyn Huisman had 22 and Oliva Henga tossed in 21. Mn West shot 49% from the field and 38.5% from 3 point range. The only negative thing for the Lady Jays was they had 24 turnovers in the game, probably something they will want to improve on when they take on Owens Community College in the semifinals at 5:00 pm today. Owens CC defeated Anoka Ramsey Community College yesterday 70 to 52 to make it to the semis.
