Mon 3-18-2024

Minnesota West won the 2024 NJCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship for their first national title in program history.

The top-seed Bluejays beat Rochester 76-60 on Saturday and got revenge for last year’s national runner-up finish against the Yellowjackets.

Minnesota West head coach Rosalie Hayenga-Hostikka took home Coach of the Tournament. Bluejays sophomore guard Olivia Hayenga earned the Most Valuable Player award after totaling 58 points, 32 rebounds, and 12 assists in the National Tournament. A pair of fellow sophomores in guard Audrey Drapeau and Hattie Devries also made the All-Tournament Team.
