Miller, Mohr Lead Huskies in Big South Division Play

Tavin Miller tied for second place to lead the Jackson County Central boys golf team to a tie for fifth place in Big South Division play at Pipestone Country Club on Monday. 

Miller shot 80 on 18 holes as part of a four-way tie for the runner-up score at and four strokes off the lead and eight strokes over par. 

Jessy Gentry shot 87, Keagan Koster shot 97, Gavin Pohlman shot 95, Dylan Hilpipre shot 98, and Spencer Pigman shot 105. 

Blue Earth Area shot 313 for the top boys team score ahead of Luverne with 333, Redwood Valley with 334, and Pipestone Area with 350. JCC and Windom Area shot 354 to tie for fifth place. Fairmont shot 364 for seventh place. 

Rachel Mohr led the JCC girls to third place in the Big South Gold Girls Division Meet #3 at Jackson Golf Club. 

Mohr posted 100 on 18 holes to tie for sixth place. 

Kendal Krumwiede shot 111 in 13th place, Lily Brinkman shot 112 in 15th place, Ramsey Johnson shot 114 in 18th place, Payton Coquyt shot 125 in 27th place, and Taylor Schultz shot 135 in 32nd place. 

Blue Earth Area topped the girls scores as well with 395. Fairmont posted 425 and JCC took third place with 437. Luverne shot 451 and Redwood Valley posted 485. Pipestone Area and Windom Area were incomplete. 

 

The Huskies host Pipestone Area and Worthington on Thursday.
