The Martin County West Mavericks volleyball team got back in the win column last night with a 3 to 1 victory over the Jaguars of GHEC/ML/Truman. The Mavericks won the first set 29 to 27 but the Jaguars came back and took the second set 25 to 19. The Mavericks turned it up a notch in the 3rd set and won 25 to 14 and then took game four 25 to 15. Emily Anderson had 14 kills on the night and Lucy Larson and Grace Bicknase both had 7 kills. Aspen Kosbab had 5 and Bella Lange had 3. Grace Bicknase had 18 set assists while Anderson had 10. MCW is now 5-3 on the season and will participate in the Carolyn Hummel Invitational on Saturday in Jackson.
