Sat 10-9-2021

MCW dropped a tough one to MCC last night 24 to 18 and move to 5-1 on the season. Head Coach Tom Elliot says they followed their game plan but just came up short.
"We wanted to come in and we wanted to play our game and for about 3 quarters we were able to do that as good as we had hoped. We just kinda gave up a couple of plays, a big special teams play. I said in the pre-game that special teams could play a factor and it definately did. We spotted them a short field and they were able to convert. When you're playing a team like this you can't give them breaks like that and its good on them, they were able to capitalize they kept fighting and came up with a victory."
Rylan Cutler led the ground attack with 54 yards on 15 carries while Christian Bachenberg had 27 yards on 8 carries and Carver Rohman had 25 yards on 9 carries. Tanner Sinn led the Mavs with 4 receptions for 63 yards while Zach Anderson caught 6 passes for 58 yards. Bachenberg completed 16 of 26 passes for 170 yards, had 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. The Mavericks host Springfield on Thursday. pre-game at 6:45 and kick off at 7pm
