The Martin County West golf teams both finished third place at St. James Golf Course on Thursday. 

Knox Larson led the MCW boys with a runner-up finish after shooting 42 and Kale Larson shot 43 to take third. Carson Scheff was 13th after shooting 52. Isaak Engstrom and Josh Roben each shot 59 to finish 19th place. Cam Kascht was 29th after shooting 66. 

The MCW boys collected a team score of 196 behind Minnesota Valley Lutheran at 182 and Madelia at 195 but ahead of GHEC-T-ML at 209

Brenna Heifner led the MCW girls by shooting 62 for seventh place. Ariel Freeman and Morgan McCorkell tied for 10th after they both shot 65. Aaliyah Bolstad shot 78 for 17th place. 

The MCW girls collected a team tally of 270 behind MVL with 247 and Madelia with 250 but ahead of GHEC-T-ML with 301. 

The Mavericks are right back in action on Friday as they host New Ulm Cathedral, Springfield, and Sleepy Eye United at Fox Lake Golf Club.
