The Martin County West baseball team lost to St James on Friday. 

St James beat MCW 10-0 in five innings without allowing a hit. 

St James scored four runs in the first, one in the second, three in the fourth, and two in the fifth for the run-rule victory. 

Noah Meixell took the loss for MCW after allowing eight runs with four of those earned on five hits while striking out three and walking two in four innings pitched. Cam Meyer got the final two outs after allowing two runs and two walks. 

The 3-8 Mavericks play United South Central on Saturday.
